    ORIGINAL: jbraner

I have to go in and editing crash cymbals and take out little fills etc.

Of course there’s nothing wrong with this either This way you get exactly what you want…

Well yes and I love getting exactly what I want! Lol! However, as I stated earlier to piece together 3 bars of 4 to make the 12 bar phrase sounds clunky. The blues midi pack was better because it was full phrases. In rock or pop a 4 or 8 beat pattern is great but in a blues situation it leaves a lot to be desired. Just my observation.
And thanks for all the replies everyone!

So I bought the midi pack from this ezx and the loops are great but one thing-they are All four bars long! It’s a real shame because we all know blues is usually based on a 12 bar pattern and drummers don’t play the same thing 3 times in the 12 bars. So to make these work I have to go in and editing crash cymbals and take out little fills etc. Guys, these loops sound great but PLEASE, longer loops. Let the guy play and record it, turn it into midi and I will pay you twice the asking price.
Nice sounding drums BTW. It’s great to have any company release a pack like this for a music that is often overlooked.

I’d like to see a sale that was aimed at customers that already own a slew of toon products. I have Ezdrummer with 5 or 6 ad-on packs, superior crossgrade and 2 sdx’s as well as ezmix. It would be nice for toontrack to say to people like me, “we have a new SDX and as a loyal customer you get dibs on it for 25% off.
Like, the more you already own, the more you save???

Just riffin. Love all these products and a bargain at twice the price anyway!

There’s another plug called Wave Rider that is the same idea and if I’m not mistaken, was on the market first. I’m not sure if posting links is allowed or not here but a quick google search will get you there.

Here’s what I love about it: I usually spend too much time eqing and compressing and tweaking individual instruments that I lose momentum in the writing/creating process. It drives me nuts when I want to get on with a song I’m doing but the kick is getting on my nerves. EZMix puts everything in the ballpark at least. Sometimes the first preset I choose nails it on the head! Think I’ll start making templates using EZMix so I can just open one up and I’m rockin’.
This is a great tool not only for tones but for saving time. I love it!

I used to use sample loops in Garageband before switching to ez and this covers what I used to love about them. I think if you’re gonna use midi drums this is the way they should be laid out. Very nice! BTW, that’s a great shuffle from the demos.
