Hi,
Is there a reason why mixer, grooves and tracker can be full screened by double clicking on the headers but not the main Drum tab? It does so perfectly in standalone but not in Cubase 9.0.30. Is it a Cubase issue? Can anyone make the drum tab full screen in there DAWs without having to manually stretch it?
By the way, I love it so far. I run a 4 monitor setup so I appreciate the separate tabs very much. It’s a shame that the main drum tab can’t seem to be full screened in my daw.
Thanks,

Hi,
the reason is because those extra windows are handled/managed by us from within Superior, whereas the main window is handled by Cubase and I suppose Cubase doesn’t create the plugin window in such a way to support double clicking to make it fullscreen. In standalone it works because we manage the main window as well there.
I wouldn’t necessarily call it a Cubase “issue” but rather a (probably correct) choice they went with since most plugins don’t support resizing yet and plugins are not required to handle resizing as part of the VST standard.
I´ll look into it but i cant guarantee there is much we can do about it unfortunately.

Thank you for the quick response. Couldn’t you just have created a detachable drums tab as an extra window and it would solve the issue no? In a future 3.1 update maybe? Sorry to already be requesting features on day 3. I think you guys definitely are setting a new cool feature with those detachable windows. Hopefully more companies will do so as well.

I´ll put it on our feature request list 🙂

Thanks! I like them as well, I always detach the mixer and keep it on a seperate screen when im working, really helps alot instead of having to switch tabs all the time.

I just noticed that the EWQL Play 5 engine can go full screen by double clicking depending of “Always on top” setting. It’s kind of funny because Play 5 is not even re-sizable. It can none the less be set to full screen leaving a black area around the plugin (see attachment).
Wouldn’t this mean that it’s up to the plugin’s architecture and that Cubase already is supporting this?
