I brought this up in the SD3 forum, but I wanted to expand on it in this request forum. It would be incredibly helpful if I could open up my custom kit/file in SD3, even though I created it in EZdrummer. I’m working on a track that I started using EZdrummer before I upgraded to SD3. I really hope this is in the works as I greatly prefer the features of SD3 and recreating the kit in SD3 with the mixer settings and everything would be extremely time consuming. Are there any plans to implement this? Thank you.
Daniel
Hi! I’m a software developer who does sound formats. Can you say more about the EZdrummer files that you would like to convert, like their filename extension (.ezd maybe?) and anything you know about what’s in them? It would be good to add this audio format to a free sound converting program so that people (like you) can recover their work. Maybe upload some small example files here as attachments?
I’m also interested in being able to read Superior Drummer files, which I gather are “OBX” files. Any info on their structure and content would be appreciated. After all, if OBX format is included in a widely-used free software program, that will generate publicity for ToonTrack’s Superior Drummer.
