I tried the demo and no keyboard shortcuts works. Instead you have to right click to, for example, copy and paste.
Not even the Delete key works. You have to right click to delete parts in the timeline.
No, currently the only keyboard shortcut that is supported in the ‘spacebar’ to start/stop playback of the Song Track (in standalone mode).

There is a problem for plugins regarding keyboard shortcuts. Hosts normally don’t send the keyboard actions to the plugin – meaning that if you press “ctrl + z” on a PC to undo an action, the actual undo will be done in the host and not in the plugin – even if the plugin is in focus. We are aware of this issue, and the standalone could use keyboard shortcuts. It can however be confusing if shortcuts works in standalone and suddenly not when used in a host…

Hi, but using the prog in stand-alone mode should support short keys, what is not the case and …drives me crazy. No Ctrl-C or something, no delete, no arrow keys. And no undo – at least the last step (Ctrl-Z). Why not?
EZ Keys makes fun and supports me perfectly (as non-keyboarder) while composing, but now, after 2 weeks, it drives me nuts with the missing keyboard shortcuts and some other things:
the window can’t be changed in size, so the timeline still is too short at all to work fluidly, especially with the missing shortcuts and that strange behaviour of loosing focus on your workflowstep while copy, paste etc. Sometimes you are back on the beginning of your song and have to scroll via that tiny thingy below the timeline – using the arrowkeys right drives you crazy because you have to klick everytime for each single step… There are some more things which I don’t like because it hinders my workflow extremly -all in all, it feels like a toy. An expensive one. It is a pity, because the idea behind is brilliant.

Thanked by: LAURA COLLINSI agree with this— I tried the demo of EZKeys a while ago and hated that I had to right-click to delete a block of chords…. or right-click to copy and paste..
Henrik is correct, in that the shortcuts usually are for the DAW itself…. BUT, this isn’t always true. I think any active window in a DAW (such as a plugin), should respond before the DAW does, if using keyboard shortcuts (especially if the DAW is awesome like Reaper).
This would be a great addition to a future update… what do the rest of you think?
Ditto the above re kb shortcuts and the tiny UI. Mousing to small locations on the screen vs hitting a key in the keyboard is difficult for people like myself who have poor vision. One specific shortcut that would be nice would be “escape” or an equivalent to quickly close the chord insertion “donut” when done with it. Its small size obscures measures around the measure you’re working on.
A related but non-shortcut issue is that in EZ Drummer you can right click in the chord assembly area and choose “Select All” from the drop down menu. In EZK you can only select all by lassoing, which is much less convenient.
