Yes. Edit manually on the Song Track and/or import from a MIDI file.

That’s awesome. Just to be 100%, that’s true for any odd time signatures, right?

    Thanks for your reply!

Just to clarify: Currently (EZDrummer 2), it doesn’t recognize the time sig has changed, and so the drummer/notation is one measure off for the rest of the song.

TThat has changed in EZDrummer 3?

    Thanks!

You can manually input time signature changes in the EZD3 Song Track to matchthe signature changes in your DAW.

To clarify, are the time signatures reflected on the EZD3 timeline in a way that keeps the bar numbers aligned with the DAW timeline?

Time signatures other than 4/4 can be used in previous versions by manually inputting them but the issues comes from the timelines falling out of alignment.

The best way to import time signatures into EZdrummer 3 would be via MIDI. First export MIDI from your DAW containing the tempo/time signatures, then import it via Track > Import Tempo/Time Signatures from MIDI file… in EZdrummer 3.

To be more specific, are the time signatures mirrored on the EZD3 timeline in such a manner that the bar numbers remain aligned with the DAW timeline?

In prior versions, time signatures other than 4/4 could be utilized by manually entering them, however, the problem was that the timelines were out of sync.

    Hi,

“..are the time signatures reflected on the EZD3 timeline in a way that keeps the bar numbers aligned with the DAW timeline?”

EZdrummer 3 cannot automatically get time signature changes from a DAW so that the bar numbers on the EZD3 song track are aligned with the DAW timeline if there are time signature changes in your DAW session. The best way to sync that up is to import that via MIDI or enter the changes manually in the Time Signature track within EZdrummer 3. It is a track so it will change the time signature during playback at the bar that it is configured to do so.

This is how the Time Signature track looks in EZdrummer 3.

Then the timelines should be aligned.

Thank you Petter, this sentence is all that I was asking about

EZdrummer 3 cannot automatically get time signature changes from a DAW

It’s the only feature that I was hoping would be added in EZ3, as it’s the only thing I really disliked about EZ2.
