I used the same ‘device name’ for both my laptop and desktop, which never posed a problem until I noticed my DAW (Studio One) uses the device name to differentiate between ‘activated’ installs. Making it hard to manage my activations.
That said, I will probably have to rename my PC’s ( settings/system/about/rename) but before I do I’d like to know if this will cause any further problems with other software such as my Toontrack EZD2 and EZKeys. Are there any foreseeable problems concerning either of these two or other TT Apps by changing the PC’s device name ?
