Wich set to buy?

I’ve decided to buy my self an electronic drum kit. It will be for my studio only. My intention is to use it to trigger vst instruments. I had decided on a used Roland td11kv but now I’m having doubts. Since I’m only gonna use it as a midi trigger will I be better off with a older td6kvx kit (also cheaper used) or a td9kv kit? Will the lack of usb midi out on older Roland kits be limiting? I have one unused midi input available.

Any input will be much appreciated.
