I don’t understand the need for EZMix for things like EZ Bass and EZ Drummer, I thought they’re already mixed correctly. I’m confused on why I’d need a new signal chain for either one, when I’m choosing such things from the bass/drummer software. I’m confused on how these plugins work together and I don’t any clear explanation from any forum or video. Example, I have the rock drummer and rock bass packs, why would I need the EZMix bass addition or drum addition? this seems very redundant.

Hi,
EZmix 2 is not necessary for EZbass and EZdrummer 2, as you point out, they are pre-produced to fit into the genres they are intended for.
But not all instruments you use in your songs are EZbass or EZdrummer 2 sounds, so you might find use for EZmix 2 for your vocals, guitars, buses, master, etc. And sometimes you need something that’s not included in the preset you are using, e.g. you might want a distorted parallell drum bus or a dub delay for that snare fill.
Also, not all people use EZbass or EZdrummer 2 but use EZmix 2 for setting mixes up quickly.

John
