Hi. I have been getting by with EZDrummer (v1) and the stock pop/rock packs for a couple years now, regardless of the song genre that I’m working with. Wondering about getting some of the EZX packs, don’t know which ones. I had another thread on here a couple years ago where folks recommended some of the metal packs, maybe the rock ones. I can say the only ones that really “speak to me” right now are the rock solid and rock packs, but there’s always the difficult issue of “how does it sound in the mix” and processed vs by itself?
What might help is if you fine folks would take a listen to some stuff I’ve already done, and tell me which packs would have worked better (in your opinions) than the stock pop/rock samples (or a drum machine, or the stock samples from Logic, in some cases) that I actually used. Hopefully you can see what I was “going for” giving the music genre, etc. Mix of live (using backing tracks) and “studio” (quotes indicate home studio) stuff. Thanks.
Oh, PS. . .um. . .to be safe. . .um. . .NSFW.
