Which ezx pack for a snare like that?

i just want a natural rock sound like these ones (about the snare drum)

Do you have some ideas?

Ez2 and just that or another one? Superior dd 3 can do the job  but i only have ezd2 +several packs

Tommy Aldridge uses an Yamaha snare on his custom made Yamaha kit that used he with Thin Lizzy and now with Whitesnake (which he has been longest drummer with). There is an Yamaha kit on the Reggae ezx pack.

Reggae ezx :when i listen to the demos, it is very strange

not rock at all (of course) so, in my opinion, it is very very very far of what i am looking for

Keep in mind that you need not play the reggae midi when using the reggae ezx.

For example, I do not write hip-hop, but I use the hip-hop ezx extensively.

I also have the reggae ezx and there are some great sounds, which I use in rock all the time.

now, when i listen to the reggae EZX,  i think that  the snares can be good for rock’n’ roll

but the problem with some EZX and their snares is that they are not just made to reproduce some snares but

they are made to reproduce an energy, mood, ambiance (60’s, 70’s rock , 80’s) so, in the mix , it may not be perfect all the time

it was like that for big rock ezx and seventies rock ezx (it could sound very good without this dark mix)

that’s why people buy the SD3 : to have some natural sounds, raw sounds like  being in front of the drums  and it’s not always easy to have this sensation

with some EZX expansions

With EZD2, i have found a good method with the mixer

With some EZX, pop/rock is very versatile with the good settings

uk pop ezx is very good too to have a few raw snares

rock! is not so fantastic like i imagined in the beginning (except for the bass drums which sound very modern and good)

trad country ezx sound bad in the demos but with a man with his drums, it sounds incredible  ! “basic presets” but i have not this EZX

It sounds like you might want to have a look at making adjustments to the velocities.

I never use any clip in the native velocity: Generally they are way too powerful. By cutting the velocity on a whole clip I can get what I want, e.g., Charlie Watts instead of John Bonham.
