When does the SD2 to SD3 Crossgrade really end?

Toontrack is by far my favorite drum software company, but something doesn’t seem right.  I keep getting emails from toontrack  (including today) saying: “The Superior Drummer 3 Upgrade will be discontinued (December 31st, 2018) since Superior Drummer 2 no longer is supported, updated or available for purchase”.  Guitar Center, which is the biggest predominately music gear retail company that I’m aware of in the United States, still has Superior Drummer 2 for sale at guitarcenter.com, even today.  Makes me wonder how long Guitar Center will sell the SD2 to SD3 Crossgrade.  Comments anyone?
