What’s the best way to use EZKeys?

I think EZKeys is a really nice program.

AND, I’m not a piano player. Is there a best, or intended, way to use EZKeys when composing a piano part? Yes, I understand the program is flexible and I can drag and drop however I wish, but is there a system to using it that the developers had in mind? Is it better to continuously change versions for each chorus? Or do I use the same version for each chorus? How do you use it?

Any help is appreciated.
