I’ve also been making notemaps for Reaper for all of the EZ and SD kits.
However… some of the stuff that’s written in the PDF docs is wrong.
So it’ll take me a while to correct it and have them all be informative and consistent.
And I have a few questions I need answers on anyway.
Considering making colormaps for Reaper as well…
but I think those apply to all of Reaper and not just specific tracks,
so that might be distracting if you’re also doing other MIDI edits.
For now… I just wanted to show off 😛

Wow, what a nice job you did. Can you imagine what it must be like working out the mapping for each new SDX and EZX so as to achieve the maximum amount of compatibility for the groove libraries? It must take hours and hours of tedious work. Now we can understand why Rogue gets a little grumpy now and then.

Still missing from the finalized version (which were *MUCH* easier with the 2.2 Mapping!) are the Vintage and DFH EZXs, since I don’t own them, and the Electronic EZX and C&V SDX, since they aren’t out yet.
Obviously, this is just the default mapping. My purpose for creating this in the first place was to kinda help me create drum tracks that would be more compatible with GM drums.
…Reaper notemaps to follow in a week or so.

great work. Though I must point out that if you’re only goal is GM compatibility, using notes between 35 to 59 will do the trick (for drums at least), as stated in the manual. Only exceptions are note 39, 54 and 58 which are not GM compliant. Still great work, as I said 😉

Well, you can tell me those words and numbers, but it’s easier for my head if I can see it. 🙂
…now updated with the DFH and Vintage EZXes.

Toontrack really should support you with the missing expansions so that you can finish what you’ve started
Great job!

I’ll buy ’em in time on my own, but appreciate the appreciation! 🙂
It’s actually a pretty trivial thing to update now, ever since the 2.2 update to Superior with the MIDI Node editing.
Hopefully I’ll actually follow up on my original promise and get some Reaper maps up too. Still can’t make ’em colored like I’d hoped, but I *was* working on a number of different versions (everything/no aliases/essentials, along with trying to format the text in a way that made everything quick to find) — but got sidetracked, as usual, by life. 😛

this awesome and just what I was looking for!
this may be a silly question, but is this the same mapping (in general)for Superior drummer as well?

Actually (as you may’ve already realized by now), Superior 2 and the SDXes are included in the spreadsheet — I just can’t change the topic title anymore 😛
And yes, the mapping is generally quite similar between the SD and EZ series; although, especially with the SD sets, it would be more accurate if I included notes about all the different tool sets (sticks, brushes, etc.), but that’s why the spreadsheet is just titled as the “default” MIDI mapping. 🙂

Another thumps up to you godprobe- just bought the crossgrade to S2 and this’ll make things a little easier to ‘see’.
