Hey everyone,
Want to get your thoughts on this. So I imported the EZ drummer tracks in both .wav and MIDI, but I have found that it is easier for me to be able to mix when I import the tracks individually as .wav files. I know this is more work since I have to solo each track from EZdrummer2, export as a .wav file, e-mail each track, then download them and drag them into my session via new track option in Protools. Only reason I have to do it this way is I create my grooves on my PC laptop, but Protools is on my Mac.
Do you mix in MIDI or .wav?
Thanks!
Hi,
why don’t you just Save a Project file on your PC and open it in the EZdrummer 2 plugin in Pro Tools on your Mac? That way you still have control and the ability to change something, should you want to, before it’s mixed to your master.

I do save my projects on my PC, they don’t show up on my Mac automatically. I have to e-mail the midi file and download it on my Mac….am I doing it wrong?
Hi,
I did not mean to imply that the Project files would appear automagically on your Mac. It’s just that sending WAV files, rendered per drum gets you very big and very static files to transfer instead of an EZdrummer 2 .ezdp Project file that is around 100-150KB and also can be edited.

Understood. I just wanted to get a feel on how people prefer to do it. Thank you.
Hopefully another user will chime in and share their take on it.
