Volume Too Low When Recording in Logic

I am using the Roland TD20 and Roland V Drum Kit with Superior Drummer 3 and Logic Pro.  When I play the drums to record, the volume from my monitors is way too low.  It sounds fine on playback.  Any suggestions are appreciated.   Thanks
