Hey all!
Noobie here…
I am about to pull the trigger on the Superior Drummer but wanted to see if it will work easily with a digital recorder like the ZoomR8 I own. Basically can I create an entire drum sequence and simple put it into 2 stereo tracks in the Zoom? Also, I have never used the little Zoom and am wondering if I should just bite the bullet and learn how to use a DAW (prolly Reaper) instead of wasting too much time figuring out the Zoom. It seems like the Superior Drummer has way more tools that work seamlessly in a DAW.
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
I guess the answer depends on who you’re asking. On the one hand, it can be quite liberating to commit to the performance you have created in SD3 and just use the audio exported. As if you had recorded a performance to tape.
On the other hand, you would indeed have more options on where to take the song in both performance and sound if you use the R8 as your DAW’s audio interface. You might get new ideas along the way and it will perhaps be tiresome to bounce to new audio files each time you want to try something new out?

John
