I am researching how to use SD 2.0 in my live performance. I currently use a Roland TD 10 expanded. I take 6 outputs from the brain to the main mix. What I would like to do —- this is where I appreciate use any advise or tips —- use the TD 10 to send each pad hit to SD 2.0 then send the SD 2.0 sounds to the main mix. Can I send the SD 2.0 signal back to the TD10 ? What format (s) does the SD 2.0 put out ? (I mean like midi, audio) Do I have to use some type of interface between the computer + the mixing board? (and not use the TD10). Would this interface use USB from the computer to 6 1/4’s ?
thanks a lot for your time.
Hi,
you need an Audio+MIDI interface.
You need to get the MIDI out of the TD-10 into the computer hosting Superior 2.
You need the Audio interface to get Audio out of the computer. This Audio interface determines how many physical outputs you get from Superior 2. From 2 to 32.
These Audio outputs can go to e.g. a mixer.
The most likely computer connection for the interface would be USB, yes but it can be Firewire as well. Older types are PCI cards.
Best Regards,
John
