Hello,
I have an expanded Alesis Nitro Mesh kit. I would like to further expand by purchasing the Alesis Nitro MAX. Unfortunately, the Alesis Nitro MAX does not have a Midi in/out for me to daisy chain the two modules. Does EZD3 allow two modules plugged directly into the PC to be used simultaneously?
I know there are other routes to acheiving this(Ex: using a ddrum DDTi Drum Trigger Interface via Midi), but buying a new kit to expand the rack and have an additional kick and foot trigger is something I’m interested in.
Thanks.
Hi,
the Audio/MIDI Setup page lets you select more than one active MIDI Input Device, yes.
Note, however, that you must be sure not to send the same notes from the two modules, since you cannot have instruments assigned to the same note from different sources. I.e. you cannot have note#38 triggering the Snare in EZD3 from one module and note#38 triggering another instrument in the same instance of EZD3 from the other module.
BR,
John
