USB 3.0

Hello everyone,

I am trying to get a friend of mine onto Superior Drummer as well but he has a bit of a different setup than mine. Rather than firewire, his brand new laptop has USB 3.0. It’s my understanding that this is actually faster than firewire. Is there an interface (similar to firebox) that works with USB 3.0 that can be used to go between Superior Drummer and his V-Drums?

For reference, he is using an older Roland V-Drums set that does have a MIDI out. We attempted a direct to PC MIDI to USB conversion in the past (with USB 2.0) and experienced too much latency to go that route.

Any suggestions?
