When I open ezdrummer 2 (and ezkeys) as a vsti i get the message ‘some midi files need the new version of ezd 2’ but it has already been updated via PM, which shows all products as up-to-date?
Hi,
have you moved or copied any .dll files post install?
If you perform a Search on your system, how many ‘ezdrummer.dll’ and ‘ezkeys.dll’ files entries show up?
Normally it would be 2 of each; one 32-bit .dll and one 64-bit .dll.
If more show up, I recommend deleting them all and then re-run the latest updates again.
Next, make sure Reaper is pointed to the location of the correct .dll, i.e. if you are using Reaper 64-bit, you should point it to the location of the 64-bit .dll(s).

Jonn, 4 dll’s showed up for EZD, which I deleted. When I go to run the update, I get something like ‘programme already updated, install cannot continue’?
That’s odd, haven’t seen that one before. Could you please take a screen shot and post here?

Dll’s reinstated. When I click OK, EZD runs normally, but presumably without the new midi files. EZkeys and EZMix now seem to run normally but it’s hard to know what the new midi files are for these programmes?
Well, you need to run the EZdrummer 2.1.4 update. You still can’t do that via the Product Manager?

PM says all products installed. Have located updates in downloads folder and found two not installed. Installed them, but still get the same message. Is 2.0.2 the current version of EZD?
BTW, secondary question: does the clean up button in PM remove temporary or fully installed files?
Hi,
the current version is 2.1.4.
Please launch the EZdrummer 2 standalone application and check the version number in the lower right corner of the interface, it reads ‘Version 2.1.4 (64-bit)’, right?
To check exactly where the correctly installed .dll file is located, please check the Help menu > Show Plug-In path in the standalone app.
That path is the only path that should be picked up by Reaper for loading the EZdrummer 2 plugin. Any other ‘ezdrummer.dll’ files residing in other locations should be removed, since you haven’t installed the 32-bit version and run Reaper 64-bit, right?

John
