    Hi,

did you delete the application from ‘Applications/Toontrack/’ and then empty the Recycle Bin?
    Do you have Admin rights?

    BR,
    John

There could be a problem with your trash folder. Please start Applications/Utilities/Terminal and run this command there (copy/paste it):

    ls -ldeO ~/.Trash

Then attach a screenshot of the results.

Hello thank you for the replies
Here are the results of the terminal

Also in reply to John I did remove using the uninstaller from the Toontrack folder. there may have been a older version that was emptied into the trash directly with ought using uninstaller when cleaning computer long time ago is there a way to see If there are things left behind that may be causing this ? I do have Admin Rights and the Bin has been emptied

I was able to instal the program on my laptop and download the files so I am able to use now it but would like to get the product manager running on my main computer

    Thank you
    Chris

Thanks, it shows that the ‘root’ user is the owner of the trash folder, while it should be your login user. Run this command to fix it:

    sudo chown chrismckillican ~/.Trash

It will ask for your computer password.

I think the Product Manager will be able to update itself then.

    Hello.

I am also dealing with this same issue. Although this is my first time using any toontrack products so there would be no reason for me to have an “old” version of Product Manager yet when i open it immediately downloads the update but cannot use because like Cmckillican had it said it couldn’t remove the old version. Please help!
