Trying to get started

I bought a DM7 Alesis kit and recieved the EZdrummer Lite plug in free. I understand I need a “plug-in host” to use it with my kit. I have only ever had acoustic drum kits before and I am totally new to all of this. Could some one please get me headed in the right direction. I need to get educated, but any research I’ve done makes my head want to explode because I don’t know where to begin. I pretty much know nothing. I don’t even know how to connect my computer to the the kit (the cable needed).

Hi,

to use EZdrummer standalone, you can use Toontrack solo:
http://www.toontrack.com/product/toontrack-solo/
Once your product is registered, it should be available in your Toontrack account.
It is pretty much only to download, install and launch. If EZdrummer is installed, it will be available inside Toontrack solo.
