Hey guys, these might be some insanely dumb questions:
So far with S2.0 things have been pretty damn stable – I haven’t had one crash using it with Logic 8.02, even when I’m pushing the system pretty hard. I have had a few random crashes of Solo, however, when using S2.0 in Solo w/EZPP – not a lot of them, but more than zero. Anyhow, my guess is that it the culprit might be Solo itself or EZPP or something and I’d like to maybe trash the prefs for those and let them rebuild to see if that clears up the occasional crash (this last time I was working straight through for an hour or hour and a half, everything solid, had saved a few S2.0 presets, and when I quit Solo and the “Save Project” dialog popped up, I clicked no and then Solo crashed). Is this a good or bad idea? Should I trash the prefs for S2.0 as well, or is that pointless? Are the only pertinent (sp) prefs the typical com.toontrack.xxx.plist files or are there additional preferences files I should trash that can be easily missed? Also, does S.2 updating automatically update Solo? Thanks!
BTW – I don’t mean to be redundant, but I will likely post this inquiry in the EZPP and S2.0 sections, cause I’m not sure which is the more appropriate place – feel free to erase any of them.
trashing the prefs won’t help but otherwise the plist is indeed the preference file and can safely be discarded.
… just to clarify, are the crashes solely on exit?
FYI EZplayer has some known issues with ‘Thru’ files which may be what you are running into. We are planning an update for it this week (in fact there will be a solo update more or less simultaneously) so I suggest waiting until it has been released to try to identify what part of the solo-ezplayer-S2 is responsible for the crashes. If problems persist then I’d suggest sending us sample crash logs so we can have a look.
Best Regards,
