I can’t seem to be able to do it. I set up a .tts (solo preset) on my desktop. I saved the file to usb disk and tired to open it on my laptop, but it would not work. Any thoughs? Is this possible?
hi, yes it should be possible as far as all the Toontrack plugins on the target computer have been installed in excactly the same directory as the machine the project was saved on. I guess this is not the case for you?

Hi Rogue,
Turn out it’s not the same. On my desktop (where I have the preset I want to export) it’s c:program filesvstplugins and on my laptop it’s c:program filessteinbergvstplugins. It’s actually a little starnge that it defaulted that way because I don’t have any steinberg products installed on the laptop (but I do on the desktop). Weird. Anyway, can I just move the dll over to the matching folder or will that mess anything up? Thanks.
that will mess things up for updates for sure. A possible workaround to reinstalling one of the system to match the other (using the custom option) would be to edit with a simple text editor all plugin(s) locations in your .tts file.
… we are aware of the limitation btw and will try to circumvent this in a future update but this is not necessarily trivial (otherwise we’d done it of course).

I opened up the .tts with notepad and I saw all the settings. It should be easy enough to just change the path inside of that. Sounds much easier than reinstalling. Thanks again.
