Hello,
I’m very interested in purchasing EZMix 3, particularly for bass guitar amp sounds. However, I tried tracking with it at a friend’s house and the latency it adds with most presents made it difficult to track with.
Is there a zero latency setting that allows you to track with a slightly diminished sound prior to the mixing stage?
It’s your friend’s computer, with a lack of sufficient RAM, as well as their interface, that’s causing the problem. EZMix seems to have extremely low CPU load weight compared to numerous other plugs I own.
I run EZMix3 on multiple tracks in StudioOne Pro version 7 with absolutdely zero bump in latency. I also run SuperiorDrums3, plus multiple instances of HelixNative, & numerous vsti synths, all at the same time.
I upgraded to a new i9 pc with 64GB RAM this past summer, & my guitars & bass run into a PreSonus HD8 interface. My tracking latency registers at a miniscule & audibly indistinguishable 2.1ms., even with all of the above plugins running.
Now if I try to run ‘forward thinking’ mixing & mastering plugs like iZotope Nectar or Neutron or Ozone…then the latency jumps up dramatically, by 40 to 80 ms each, or more. Those are the kind of mixing plugs you have to refrain from utilizing until ALL tracking is completed.
