    Hi,

EZdrummer is not intended for E-drum use as is Superior 2, so there is no setup for changing anything related to your E-drum performance as notes assignments, etc.
Microphone volumes are set in the EZdrummer mixer as explained in the Manual, easily accessed via the ‘?’ Help Menu.

When you use Toontrack solo as your host, there is an E-drums MIDI preset with the additional option of a CC offset. This is a real-time transformer and is performed in Toontrack solo, not EZdrummer.
It sounds strange that you get 2 notes playing though. Are you sure your module sends one note only? Are you running anything else at the same time as Toontrack solo?

    Best Regards,
    John

    Hi John,

Thanks a lot for your quick reply on this issue.
I probably got misunderstod a bit here, I was actually looking for tweaking the DTXpress module itself, not EZD, any forum or website to help me on this? (just by any chance)
I am using DTXpress with an M-Audio FW410 Midi controller so I would guess anything I put behind should do. 1 pad = 1 note, DTXpress I is their most basic version.

Anyway, I have been using the DTXpress for many years now under XP with Groove agent under Cubase SX2 without any problem, just that I am switching all my devices to Mac so a good occasion to switch to a better drum machine and EZD is one piece of instrument, I love it (so far, but need some minor help).

So back to my issue as I mainly bought EZD for its standalone capability with TT, I have checked and “e-drum” setting with/without CC does not change anything and no background program is running.
When I quit TT, launch Garage Band, EZD works fine in there but definitively not the solution for my “switch-on-and-play need”.

Superior 2 would have been great but not within my budget unfortunately.

    Thx

    Fab

    OK,

I think you might be luckier in getting suggestions over in the http://www.toontrack.com/forum/tt.aspx?forumid=7 section.

Still sounds strange that you do not see any change in response when toggling the E-drum Controller preset.
I am not familiar with the DTXpress though, it’s Default mappings may differ greatly.

    Best Regards,
    John

If there are 2 instruments playing then solo is receiving information to that effect. The question is why GarageBand does not produce this result.

The most straightforward way for us to help would be if you can supply a short MIDI recording made in GarageBand. Just record arm the track and play a few bars in. I believe there is a MIDI export function in your version of GarageBand but if not send the complete GB project to supporttoontrack•com and we’ll have a look at it.
