This is a feature request for Toontrack Product Manager. When I select “change path…” after moving SDX libraries to a new drive, it would be great if Product Manager would automatically look for other libraries in the same location so I don’t have to select “change path…“ for each one.
The best implementation I’ve seen of this kind of feature is by Spectrasonics. When I move the “STEAM” folder (where the sound libraries are stored) to a new drive, and then launch one of their instruments, say, Omnisphere 2, a message pops up saying “STEAM folder not found. Would you like to locate it?” After I locate the folder, it automatically tells the other Spectrasonics instruments where it is, so when I launch Trillian or Keyscape, I don’t have to locate it again.
Another option: a “re-locate all” button. If I recall correctly, Native Instruments has this in “Native Access.”
Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion. There is a way to maybe change multiple paths faster: First remove all old paths in PM, then start SD3 and in SD3 Settings, click “Add Library Path(s)” and select the folder that contains the SDXs.

Is there a way to remove all paths in Product Manager with one click? If not, and I have to remove each one separately, then your solution would actually involve more steps, not fewer!

No, I just thought it would save you from using the directory chooser dialog multiple times.

Ah – now I understand. I had missed that.
I still hope you’ll add a one-click solution, but until then, this will save a little time.
Thanks, Olof!
