So I just saw a post from a gentleman named Matthew asking if you can record in SD3. Not sure if he just meant drums or other instruments, but it got me thinking.
You guys did an amazing job on SD3. It is by far the easiest drum software I’ve ever used and I absolutely love it! To be honest, I didn’t really care for SD2 and I rarely used it. Adding X-drums was a tedious process and I never got results that I was happy with. SD3 is WAY more user friendly and the added effects make a huge difference which brings me back to my idea.
I’ve tried so many DAW’s and I hated all of them. There was always an incredible amount of bullshit I had to go through just to get a song started. So, with how easy you made it to use SD3, why not make your own DAW? Recording software where we can use ALL of your products. I know you guys can do it and this is something I would pay for. Please consider this as a future release. If you will, you can come to my birthday party and there’s gonna be clowns and everything.
Love,
Josh
It’s a nice thought…but every time someone tries to make a be-all DAW…it usually sucks….plus, you then have no options, either you use it all or you move to something else.
I like that Toontrack is mainly focused on the drums. I know they also have EZKeys…but it’s not anything like SD2 or SD3 on the drum side.
I EZKeys is more like EZDrummer…a nice song starter setup, but that’s it.
Anyway, I just think the drum stuff will do better if Toontrack sticks with them primarily.
Heck..there’s already dozens and dozens of DAW options out there.
