The Rooms of Hansa download size (too large)

The Rooms of Hansa is by far the largest SDX library (not including the Superior Drummer 3 entire download)
Hansa is 121 GB, the typical SDX is 10 or 20 GB.
At 121 GB it will take my computer 38 hours to download! (which is the fastest download speed offered in my rural area)
I would like to suggest either offering it as a physical hard drive delivery item,
Or at least break the software up into separate parts.  Because if something goes wrong with the download and I have to start all over again, that’s another 38 hours wasted.   Please think about offering this SDX library in an easier to obtain package.  Thanks!

Hi,

the Download in the Product Manager is not one single file, it downloads in parts, so if the connection breaks it will not ruin the progress.

You can also start a Download in the PM and pause it, to open the PM at a later time to resume the Download.

The Download location can be set to an external hard drive in the PM Preferences, if your internal hard drive does not have sufficient space.

John, Thanks for your reply.
When you say it’s “not one single file”, do you mean there are separate files to click on and download -or- that the one big file that I’m downloading now is automatically broken up into sections AS IT’S DOWNLOADING?

Because I’m using the Product Manager and all I see is the one FULL PRODUCT INSTALLER at 121 GB.  (There is also a MIDI update file at 2.5 MB)
And when I was talking about separate download files, I meant like what you did for Superior Drummer 3.  You had a 4 Part Download and an Additional Bleed Library download, with each library at about 40 or 50 GB.
So perhaps for the Rooms of Hansa SDX, it could have been broken up into separate downloads for each drum kit?

The PM downloads the SDX as parts (your SDX:s consist of a lot of soundbunches) but I get what you mean with the reference to the SD3 Core SDX.
The PM can indeed resume the downloaded parts, so no worries there.

Hoping someone has done this . . . I just picked up SUP3 regular version, I had Sup2. Now I am trying to download the just purchased ROOMS of HANSA from the product manager and get a file size error. It appears to be trying to download 121gb to my OSX drive which only has 10Gb left. How can I set this download to another drive that has lots of space? Don’t see how to do that in my product manager space.

Hi Steve,

to change the Download location, you go into the Product Manager’s Preferences. You can also choose to Move Downloads already on your HD to the new location.

To open the Preferences, please go to the Toontrack Product Manager Menu or hit ‘Cmd+,‘.

I would have tried that but can’t access the MENU inside of the Product Manager. Also cmd+ did nothing.

Do you have a video of how to access in the MENU, perhaps an update to the PM that clearly shows the MENU?
