To quote @Henrik (as posted in the SD3 Help Forum):

The included electronic sounds in the core library are mainly instruments used for stacking, e.g. electronic kicks and snares. Electronic hi-hats are found in

    • Action! EZX
    • Dream Pop EZX
    • Electronic EZX
    • Hip-Hop! EZX
    • Number 1 Hits EZX

Further, you can just drag and drop an electronic hi-hat audio file to the hi-hat to create a custom instrument.

IOW, they are mainly supplemental. However, you can create electronic/techno type kits (there are presets illustrating this). You may want to search Sean Devine on YouTube as he’s come up with a bunch of presets for SD3.

    ok thanks

but what i want to find in SDD3

is a real electronic drum sound like that

i think SDD3 has not these kinds of sounds

but i often read it has the Simmons drums kit included

    i don’t know

i really think i won’t have these sounds with SDD3

You like drums, iconic sounds and drum plugins ?

There aren’t really those type of sounds in the S3 sound library. There are electronic sounds included that can be used for stacking onto the acoustic drums as Bear-Faced Cow points out but really, S3 is aimed at acoustic, real, live sounding drums. There are EZX listed above that have electronic samples and sounds.

you should tell to this man

    https://fr.audiofanzine.com/batterie-virtuelle/toontrack/superior-drummer-3/editorial/tests/drummer-superieur.html

he said b—– about Simmons drums kits and Roland drum machines because no, we won’t have some sounds like in the video above

Perhaps, but the beauty of SD3 is the ability to import your own audio samples. There are plenty of electronic samples online and on DVD’s (I have a whole giant case of samples) and if that’s not enough, you can roll your own in any DAW. SD3 is hardly an issue here.

    what do u mean?

what i want is just an electronic drum

    a Simmons drum kit

i really don’t know why Toontrack has not that

they have the tr 909, tr 808 in one EZX and maybe in SDD3  but not Simmons

Garage band has a lot of electronic drum machines-kits and it sounds very good (especially Roland tr and Linn drum)

so, i suggest a number one hits 2 EZX

    or something else

    Re-read what I wrote…

There are plenty of samples available online. SD3 doesn’t need to package every one of them.

when i looked for an .au , i had not found the Simmons drums kit

    like here

so, i would like a number one hits 2 EZX

    or something like reel machines

Just because you don’t have them, doesn’t mean you can’t get them. If there’s an EXS, you can use that. Otherwise, you’d have to import the sounds, which is no big deal at all.
