Wow, seems like others have the same problem. I don’t...

Wow, seems like others have the same problem.

I don’t think it is the ISPs problem. The overall web speed seems to be normal, only the Toontrack download is slow. I also tried a VPN from several countries to see if it is related to the country, but it seems not. Other downloads also working at normal speed.

What happens for me: Once I click start, the initial download speed is very fast, as it should be, somewhere between 2, 3 up to 5 Mb/s here. But then after a few minutes (at best) it falls down to under 1 MB, and often to about 100 or even 10 kb/s.

Now I spend my weekend in front of the computer, starting the download time and again.

Will keep the archives after downloading for future installations. Does the download manager allow to install from files already installed on a hard disk? I don’t see an option for that, seems like you always have to download the files directy?

This. @Toontrack… please read this.  I own more Superior Drummer / Easy Drummer content than I can count, and I have never had a positive experience in downloading / installing.  To the point that now, if an SDX peaks my interest, I first look at the download size, and usually pass just based on my expectation of how excruciatingly slow the download will be — seriously, I was getting faster downloads in the mid 90s.  Just Pathetic.

i don’t think Toontrack cares. Just bought 3 SDX bundle today and the speed hovers around 7mb. It’s atrocious and now I wish I hadn’t bought them at all. Definitely won’t make the mistake again.

That guys from Toontrack are trying to fool me, don’t they?

I’m reinstalling my complete studio. Have 236 GB to download and a download speed of 36 kB/s. You cannot image the wrath inside of me – having paid so much money and cannot get my product within this year!

Need 5 hours for an update of Superior Drummer 3 (500 MB), and that’s just the top of the iceberg. The libraries have 236 GB! Means an approximate download time to 98 days!

That’s it! I’m gonna grab some money, buy something else and Toontrack will never see me and my money again.

Sitting in Frankfurt/GER (Europe’s internet line hub for what it’s worth)and also got extreme slow DL speeds for EZD 3 Core Library (estimated 70-400hrs of DL time).

Saw somewhere else online the tip to try a US server via VPN, now the DL was finished in under 10 minutes!

(Looks like the servers used for central european customers aren’t that great…)

Maybe this will work for someone else here as well.

I can’t even hit 3mbps!  WTH Toontrack!?  I’ve spent thousands on your products. Shouldn’t that buy some server love on a Sunday night?

Heh… I see nothing has improved over the years.

It took me 4 hours to download my entire Spitfire Audio library yesterday which is 1,35 TB!
Today I just started downloading Fields of Rock SDX which is 161 GB and it tells me it will finish in 3h and 35min… Really ?

It’s been years since I downloaded anything from Toontrack and I’ve forgotten how slow it is.
Could you please join the rest of modern world finally?

Oh… never mind it just jumped to 5h 10min…    😀

EDIT: It’s getting better and better 😀

If you are experiencing slow downloads, please open a support ticket with the Contact Support button at the bottom of any FAQ. https://www.toontrack.com/faq/how-do-i-contact-support/

Attach a screenshot of a speedtest.net result, and of the slow speeds in Product Manager to your ticket and we’ll continue troubleshooting based on those results.
