Hi all.
After a few hours tweaking, I’ve got the 64bit SD2.4 working with my TD15KV kit to a level where I am happy that everything is working as it should and I can begin to go deeper into SD and the pad settings to really refine my setup. So all good there, and I am really impressed by the authentic acoustic feel SD has. I use Reaper as my DAW, and use a Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 as my audio interface. I’m going through a MIDI lead from the module. I’ve set the buffer at 2ms on the Focusrite and the latency settings within Reaper to 128, and everything is triggering spot on with zero latency.
However, within Toontrack Solo, even with any buffer setting on the Focusrite and the lowest latency settings of the audio device, I get consistently awful latency between striking the pad and hearing the sound – literally about half a second. For practical purposes, I can do what I intended to do with the setup entirely through Reaper, so it’s not a game breaker or anything, but for flexibilities sake it would be good if I could get similar zero latency results through the standalone Toontrack Solo app. And I’m just a bit baffled as much as anything else.
I’m the first to admit that I’m not overly technically minded about….well…anything, really….so I may have missed something blindingly obvious!

Hi,
could you please post screen shots of your Device and Latency settings? Did you try to first Reset Device?
Which version of Toontrack solo are you using?

HI Roubooboo, Im running pretty much the exact setup as you. Only real difference is I only have 8gb of Ram and I use the TD as the interface. Im getting pretty much zero latency as well. Have you tried removing the Focusrite from the equation.I just plug my TD15 directly into my pc and Im not getting any latency. I use Reaper as well. I dont even bother with Solo any more just because I don’t need to.
Do you find a difference using the Focusrite as opposed to just going direct? I would think less gear would be better. But I could be wrong. Just trying to understand the difference. And if I should I be using an external interface.
