Sustain problem with metal machine (envelope filter?)

Hey!

I’m mixing some tracks for my band, we recorded all drums on an electronic kit and dragged the MIDI into ezdrummer. The problem I’m having is with the ride cymbal.

When I have the ezdrummer display open and click on the ride it plays the desired sound, but when listening back to the recorded track all the ride hits are shortened and sound cut off. Lengthening the MIDI notes doesn’t make any difference and I read somewhere that it might be something to do with the envelope filter, but I’m not sure how to change this.

I’m new to ezdrummer so apologies if this seems like a tedious question. Also am using the metal machine kit, through logic, if that is any help.
