Hey there
Not sure if this is the right forum to post this… I am trying to get a very similar drum sound to what is on the Michael Keene ‘death metal’ preset. I have the preset pack as well as Ezmix – any idea what I can do to sweeten the preset up to make it sound like it does in the audio example posted? That drum sound is incredible. I’ve messed around with a bunch of stuff, but can’t seem to get the clarity and power like in the soundclip. Thanks!
Surely the preset, if used with the drum library it is intended for, should sound exactly like the example??
If not, I would suggest a trades description infrigement. Someone explain if I’m barking up the wrong tree here…

Thanks for the post.
I’ve read in the other forums here that there is some mastering and ‘sweetening’ done to audio examples. The drum sounds/tones are the same in the preset pack, but there is definitely some things added after the fact in the clip. I have EZMix and several other non-Toontrack plugs, and am looking for somewhere to start. I’ve added the basic mastering plugs and other things, but still can’t get close to the clarity and punch in that mix posted.
Thanks again!
