hi – just finished supdrum installation – i have supdrum running as vst inst. in studio one pro DAW – snare hihat and bd are fine cymbals as well – just the toms are very silent even if velocity in td6 is 127 – if i click on the toms at the vst pic in studio one by mouse the sound is very much louder – does anybody have experienced something similar – is there any incompatibility with roland td6 – brgds gonzo
Hi,
a TD-12 user here.
The E-drum MIDI preset, which is a good starting point for making your own, and the Superior 2 plugin assume you have your module at Factory Settings, so if you are happy with them when playing the E-kit with the internal sounds, you can set the plugin up to fit your playing.
If you record the MIDI coming out of the module, does the MIDI for all drums look as it should velocity wise? E.g. if you hit your Toms pretty hard, does the notes’ recorded velocity correspond?
If it doesn’t, you have to check for the cause outside the plugin. If it does and you feel that what comes out of the plugin does not correspond, you can tweak the Instrument’s velocity curve on the Mapping page.
When you’re done tweaking, just save your own MIDI preset.
