Superior 2 has a MIDI learn feature which means you select the instrument and articulation you wish to assign in S2 , click the ‘learn’ button, hit your e-drum cymbal/pad and you’re done!

Yeah, this happens to me too all the time. The only dependable way I have found to save my mapping is by saving the SD2 as a file in my DAW. For example, I use Ableton, so I will set up my mapping in SD2 for a particular kit and sound, and I will save that file IN ABLETON. Then, when i want to retrieve it, I will open up Ableton and retrieve that file, and Ableton will pull up my drum kit with all the mapping that I saved. Mapping can also be saved in the mapping window of SD2, but in my experience it is not as dependable as the method I describe above.

MIDI Mapping you want to be able to apply to different kits from different libraries are saved on the Mapping page in the MIDI Presets menu.
