I’ve been using EZ Drummer for a few years now as a stand alone and am quite happy with the results I get. I use it to pre-record drum parts for live performance. Will superior drummer also work as a stand alone and what advantages would I realise over EZD if I upgrade./ crossgrade. The one thing I need is to be able to vary the tempo in fractional increments which EZD does not do. Thanks
Hi,
since Superior 2 is a few years older than EZdrummer 2, it has not got the Song Track and the songwriting features of EZdrummer 2.
Superior 2 is more oriented towards E-drummers that want to be able to control every drum and articulation, when it comes to response, envelopes, bleed, mixing, etc.
It also has some advanced internal Bounce features that EZdrummer 2 hasn’t, if you e.g. want to have the drums as audio files per microphone as in a real recording setup.
Also, Superior 2 can load both EZdrummer EZX:s and Superior 2 SDX:s and mix and match drums from them all.
You can use them together, using the EZdrummer 2 newer features and have it drive Superior 2 but then you need to be using a DAW to route the MIDI from EZdrummer 2 to Superior 2.

John
