Superior drummer 3: the Collins preset > no !!

I just want to say that as a drummer and a fan, i can’t say that the Collins preset sounds like Phil Collins ‘ kit  ! it is good but not for Phil

for some sounds- ezx to sound like Bonham is good enough (dark too)

but for Phil you must work more 🙂

He had a lot of sounds though the years but
his main kit is always a
– Gretsch and a Noble& Cooley for the snare drum
– 6 toms ! (his classic kit from 1980 to today )

– Paiste cymbals with 2 china cymbals like in 1987-92 for ex

so, in the demos, the sound is really different
and there are not enough toms in your preset

i had a similar sound with 6 toms  but without this preset

I think he often used concert toms too… I thought the collins preset was a good start, but have made some tweaks.
