Hi all,
I thought I’d give some quick feedback on Superior Drummer 3. I just bought and downloaded it today (an upgrade from Superior Drummer 2). I have worked my first complete song today with SD3 and…
It is simply stellar! The sound is superb. It is so much better than anything else I have ever used, and I own a lot of drum software. The other thing besides the stellar sound is that everything is great as far as levels go. With superior drummer 2 and other drum plugins, often times some hits or drums or cymbals would be too loud, and peak the meters, but not so with SD3, everything is meticulously well done, all levels are beautifully calculated..
And then the workflow. It is so intuitive, I figured everything out just as I went. It was so easy and intuitive to use. And the workflow is great, I can do everything I need to within SD3’s window, whereas with SD2, often I had to edit midi after I exported it out, whereas with SD3 the grid editor made everything so easy..
I could go on and on, but I won’t. All I’ll say is that using SD3 today was the most fun I’ve had with music software for as long as I can remember. In fact, I am going to try and use the tracker and re-track a lot of my other songs’ drum tracks, just to get the great sound of SD3.
Anyway, if you own SD2 or EZ drummer 2, or any other drum plugin, I’d say get Superior Drummer 3. You won’t regret it.
Well done toontrack!
Thanks – Justin.
Thanks for the kind words! Rock on !
