If you have Follow Host enabled, then will the playback of the MIDI on Superior’s time line follow the time changes etc. in the host. However, to get it visually correct, with the bars and division in Superior Drummer 3, you must edit that – or import a tempo map, created in the DAW.

Superior Drummer 3 (or any other plugin) can’t tell the DAW to follow something – so changes made in Superior Drummer 3 won’t be reflected in the DAW:s timeline.

hi considering the upgrade to Superior from Ez Drummer but I want to make sure I understand this feature correctly , if I have a a tempo map in my DAW which includes time signatures and I drag it into Superior Drummer then will that visually be presented in the SD time line ? Furthermore I would like to then add midi patterns into the SD timeline i.e. from the SD midi library or self constructed for the purposes of then dragging these back into the DAW.

    Is this possible ?

    thanks

You can import tempo maps from your DAW into Superior Drummer 3, and it will be shown as an editable tempo curve.
You can also manually set time signature changes in Superior Drummer 3, but they can’t be imported automatically from your DAW.

You can drag MIDI files to the song track of SD3 and then after that drag them to your DAW.
