Hey guys, just looking for a bit of advice..
Ive been wanting to rehearse with my drummer to get some arrangements together..we thought it would be easier to use my roland spdsx..That way we can record awesome sounding drums (from sd3) instead of just a crappy one mic recording..The problem is, we cant get the spdsx to trigger any drums from sd3..Ive set it up with the preset thats specifically for the spdsx but still nothing..The spdsx triggers ableton live without a problem but sd3 just doesnt want to work..I even bought a roland midi cable which also does not work..Has anyone else being threw this gruelling process???
cheers in advance
neil
Hello Neil,
I’m looking for the same information.
Is there any help, reaction on this from SD? Your drums are leaking a lot of money to not help people with issues.
Danny.
Go to: MENU->SETUP->MIDI on your SPD-SX and note the “GLOBAL CH” number (default is 10). In SD3 check MIDI-in/E-Drums settings and ensure that MIDI in channel is set to the same number as your SPD-SX, i.e.10.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
