Dude I have to say that was some serious chugg. I have to ask because I stink at producing that clear yet flesh ripping sound with distored guitars. Would you mid discussing your tech for mixing those tracks?

Haha.. thanks. There’s many pro guys here that will or can jump in and tell how to do that stuff. I just try to stay in tune, stay tight and stay on time lol

Man!!!! That’s intense! And (coming from another guitar player) 9 strings?? I’m still learning to use 6!!!!! Good mix too. Which recording software do you use (or did you use for this)?

Thanks guys. Hey I use Logic Pro. Yeah, this 9 is really impressing the h3LL outta us. I might just grab a 28″scale one next month. My 6 stringers are all tuned for doing cover stuff like Slayer/ Priest! I tune totally different with the 8’s and 9’s anything from Esus2 tuning to you name it.

BigJguitar seriously I just try to keep things as super tight as possible when doing this sort of style (Kick+guitar). When recording my guitar I just blow up the kick wave forms or midi notes and follow them. Some say chugging on one or two strings is easy and boring…well stay with a crazy kick beat and it gets interesting. Try only downstrokes or try only upstrokes. You’ll get totally different sounds. As for guitar sounds haha… I just use a Axe Fx with Ownhammer I.R.’s and on its channel is Slate VCC and metric halo channel strip. And remember… less (distortion) is better, I rarely run my gains above 3. Hope that helps man!
