Listening to the Movie Scores – Horror audio demos, my favorite two demo tracks are the one that uses the “Horror Score” preset from Grand Piano and the one that uses “Wasteland” from Studio Grand. I listened to the audio demos for those two sound packs and couldn’t figure out which pack, if I can only choose one, would be the best overall and most versatile for use with horror score piano pieces? If the two are kind of equal for that purpose, then which also adds the most versatility all-around? Studio Grand seems to have more versatility for rock n roll, jazz, ragtime, and blues (in my opinion), while Grand Piano has more versatility from a classical piano sound all the way to weird and strange soundscapes and sound effects… So it’s a tough call.
P.S. I already have Mellotoon and String Machine, and I am definitely also going to get Dream Machine and Cinematic Grand. But I also wanted one of either Studio Grand or Grand Piano, and wasn’t sure which was better primarily for that horror piano sound.
