Using Superior 2 for the drums, I recently revisited a song I had originally released in 2000 with my old band. When I was writing it I was pretty obsessed with Foo Fighter’s “Colour And The Shape”, Lifetime’s “Jersey’s Best Dancers” and bands like Hum and Failure. I’m pretty sure, on some level, I was attempting to fuse those styles into something new. Not sure if I succeeded, but it was fun!
Anyhow, I used a kit from the stock Superior 2.0 set, not mixing the drums within the plug-in but bouncing with bleed intact and mixing them within the PT session as I would a real kit.
Hope you dig it, and if you really like the song, download purchases via iTunes or whatever are much appreciated!
Really nicely done. How were the guitars recorded? Any details you could give on guitar, amps, speakers, mics used? they sound fantastic
Thanks sir! Middle guitar is just a Blackstar HT5 through a Mesa 1×12 closed back, using a 57/421 combo pretty close, and in towards the cone. The left and right guitars are each DIs being fed into a combo of the RockRack Pro and Revalver II plug-ins. The other guitars I believe I used the RockRack Pro. Guitar is an LP Classic. If you feel so inclined iTunes or bandcamp purchases are much appreciated!
