Hi, would like to suggest a new SDX for you guys at ToonTrack. “Sound City Studios” in Van Nuys, Los Angeles, California.
It would be amazing to have drum samples from Studio B where Nirvana’s “Nevermind” was recorded, including countless other classic albums.
Thank You for your time.

Mmmm Gritty.
And if Room sounds make’m tight, punchy with real bottom end dialled in that actually enhances the kicks tone.
Usually just a matter of putting the mic in the magic place .
All the good old school records i hear have ambience on the kick ( and snare ) but it adds depth and warmth not fizz and spatter and unusable wetness .

The discontinued Joe Barresi Evil Drums SDX was recorded at Sound City Studios when it was Sound City and had the old Neve.

Thanked by: Gianpaolo GallianYou can still find the Joe Barresi Evil Drums SDX on Amazon or musicians friend and a couple other places I’ve seen. It is a huge library and sounds killer with such amazing detail. I am using it for a project currently. It is one of my favorite SDXs.Joe & Platinum Samples did an amazing job. I wish they would’ve done more with Toontrack, but that ended thanks to all the douches that pirated it. I have requested that Toontrack make the Evil Drums SDX compatible with SD3. Still waiting to hear. I just can’t part with it.

Thanked by: Gianpaolo GallianI would like to unite to that request of Joe Barresi Evil Drums SDX compatible for SD3, that would be a great addition. Is it actually compatible with anything?

I looked up some demos of this expansion on youtube and I’m watching a video of it being used in SD3 right now, so my guess is yes it is compatible haha
However, I’m not seeing it available anywhere for purchase anymore

Yes. The Evil Drums SDX is compatible with S2 and S3. And also yes, it’s no longer available for sale except on the second hand market.

Maybe in the future we could do a Relaunch of the SDX Evil Drums if they decide to do it someday.
