Hi,
I’ve been experiencing an issue in which when I copy a midi note towards the end of a song block it gets merged with the next one (see my giff below). I figured it out why this happens. This is because I imported the MIDI file from Guitar Pro and the MIDI note I’m copying its too long to fit within the current song block. Maybe a solution for this would be to make sure MIDI note length of imported midi files get shortened to 1/32? I don’t see any potential problem in doing that.

Hi, I’ve been dealing with that issue for a while. Any plans to fix it in a new update?
On the meantime I have more insights on the issue. It also occurs when apliying randomize to the grid position of the notes when:
– The note was at the begining of the song block and is moved backwards to the previous block, then the current song block will be merged with the previous one.
– The note is towards the end of the current song block being edited and the tail of the sound (eg a ringing Ride hit) would still be heard in the next song block, then the current song block would be merged with the next one.
Hope that helps!
Cheers

Also, I think it also occurs with MIDI originally programed in SD3, but I’m not 100% sure
