Snapping and dragging Grid

All of a sudden I cannot drag in the grid editor,
I could drag in my previous loops but when I started using new loops I couldn’t drag anymore, everything snaps, then I must use the nudge, which slows up the editing process. I read the snap to grid section in the manual and that was no help at all.
