Hi, I have an older PC that is working for me. It has plenty of RAM (and an SSD) but the bottleneck I’m encountering when rendering SD 2.0 drums is the CPU. It distorts and creates artifacts in the audio. Even when I disable/freeze every other track on the project and just solo the drums. I’m even cutting way back on the number of drums and mics and it’s still overloading the CPU. In Logic they’ve got a great feature where you can Freeze a track which pre-renders the audio prior to the DAW playing it, which has allowed me, thus far to build out projects in Logic with many more layers and software instruments than I would be able to render on the fly. Is there anything similar to that in SD 2.0? It would save me from having to buy a new, very expensive computer, especially after I just upgraded this one 6 months ago. Cheers.
