I watched a YouTube about ching rings. Big Rock Drums EXP has one on two high hats and that’s only heard on pedal articulations, but the youtube, linked below, has one on a ride cymbal and that’s only heard on pedal articulation, giving a sizzle. Other sizzlers include spiral stackers and bobble chains. A hi-hat I saw years ago had rivets. How about a Toontrack sizzle instrument?
The vid is interesting. After watching it, I wonder if THH1BK is not appropriate to use on a snare.

It would need to be kept out of the way of the sticks, making a ching ring a better bet. I’m going to try stacking snare and tambourine samples in SD.

I tried a foot tambourine on at snare whilst setting up for an open mic. There wasn’t enough ching to make it worthwhile.
I got it. Thanks for your answer
Stacking a tambourine and a snare in SD3 works well.
This video is so excellent, it really touched and impressed me quordle[/URL]
The new State of the Art SDX has a Zildjian crash with a chain. It sizzles.
