I’m having problems figuring out the best way to set up my crash cymbals with a TD4, so that they both (2) receive the correct midi note. Whether I go thru and set the e-drums setting or another, the crash cymbals do not have both the bow and edge midi notes assigned. For example on a 4 cymbal set like CV, the midi notes are spread-out for each crash. From crash 1 to crash 4 they are 55-49-52-57. (for notes that correspond to the TD4)
On the TD4 module they are Crash 1 (49-55) & Crash 2 (52-57)
Now I need to set them as a 2 cymbal set, so say I want to use Crash 2 and Crash 4. I need to set the midi on Crash 2 to 49 & 55. And on cymbal 4 the midi set to 52 & 57.
I can do this easily in the Instrument Key box. And so far I have just saved the sets in the upper left ‘Save Settings’ drop down. Is this the only way to do this? Is there a way to save a file that just keeps these midi settings that I can apply to any expansion pack?
Another problem is that as soon as I try and set all of the Crash cymbals to the same midi notes – it takes the notes away from any cymbal that has the same midi note. For example if I set Crash 2 to midi notes 49 & 55, and I had previously set Crash 1 with these notes, and I go back and check Crash 1 they are not there.
Any help?
